Every adult should have a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA).

It is a legal document which appoints someone you trust to act for you on your behalf, if you become unable to make decisions regarding your health and well-being, or to manage your affairs. There are two types of LPA - Financial & Property and Health & Welfare.

Without LPA your loved ones or someone else you trust will not have authority to act in your best interests in relation to these matters, such as making medical decisions or agreeing care arrangements, dealing with utility service providers or your bank.

Why should I use McClure?

There are four good reasons:

  1. They prepare thousands of LPA each year, so you are in good hands
  2. They let you decide whether and when to register it
  3. You keep control. So even if it’s signed and registered, no-one can use it until you say so
  4. McClure will prepare your LPA at a special price of just £199, instead of the usual £360.

Simple as that.

Did you know if you begin to lack capacity and don't have a LPA in place, your relatives may need to go to the Court of Protection for a Deputyship? This is described by Martin Lewis of Money Saving Expert, as a nightmare, which can be costly and long winded.
